From legend to KUL beach of Suhopolje.
It is well-known that the noble family Janković used to live in the Suhopolje area. More than anything, the son Andrija loved the mother's stories and legends about the Pannonian Sea. Therefore, he prefered to spend his time in the meadows of Suhopolje, taking long walks in the historical park around the castle, in search for clams and other remains of maritime world. It is less known that the parents promised the beach to their only child. This is a part of one of the legends of Suhopolje, and the promise that has remained unfulfilled. Or… maybe not?
The publisher Školska knjiga recognized the potential of a great idea and it joined forces with the Tourist Board of the municipality of Suhopolje and with creative teachers, students and local associations. The result of this cooperation is the realization of the cultural project – KUL. beach of Suhopolje.
The objective of the cool beach of Suhopolje is to blend the education and fun for all generations. During three days of the manifestation, literary and musical performances are held, as well as numerous educational and creative workshops for the youngest. All this takes place on a real sandy beach, where the visitors can enjoy the sun and the books.
